Correspondence, deeds of partnerships, leases, agreements, diaries, newspaper articles, reviews, programmes, playbills, reports, photographs, playscripts, music scores, costume and scenery designs, posters and illuminated addresses. The papers cover Coppin's theatrical career and there is also material on political elections, freemasonry, the Old Colonists' Association, and on Sorrento. There are many papers on G.V. Brooke and on the Australasian Dramatic and Musical Association. There are biographical manuscripts written by both Coppin and his daughter. The correspondents include Lucy Coppin, James Coppin, Andrew Birrell, H. Edwards, W. White and Roland Woodward. The collection also contains many papers accumulated by E.D.A. Bagot when writing his book Coppin the Great. The papers include drafts of the book, correspondence, notes, articles, lists of sources and receipts. The collection also contains much material relating to the theatrical career of Bland Holt.
